People with Back and Sacro-Iliac pain have a very difficult time sitting for long periods of time. In a seated position a person's pelvis inverts causing a negative pelvic tilt. This pelvic inversion leads to stress on the sacroiliac joints and the low back which can cause a significant amount of back pain as well as pain radiating to the groin and down the leg mimicking sciatica. MyBackSeat has been designed to elevate the pelvis while in a seated position which creates a neutral pelvic tilt which reduces the stress on the sacroiliac joints. By decreasing this stress, a person is able to sit for longer periods without having any significant pain. These cushions are also removable and interchangeable according to the user’s preference of size and firmness. To alleviate pain arising from the tailbone, or coccyx, MyBackSeat is designed with a space in the seat that removes pressure from a person's tailbone. And finally, the back rest of MyBackSeat is designed to promote the normal curvature of the spine which also helps decrease low back pain . MyBackSeat can be used in the car, at the office in a chair, on a sofa, sitting in bed or any other time a person is sitting.
